2. While food trucks do not have to register with the City of El Dorado, for public safety reasons, the owner of a truck must notify the City if they would like to operate from a public street. Those operating on private property do not need to notify the city, they only need to have permission from the property owner. Those operating a truck as part of an approved special event do not have to fill out this form.

   Adherence to the following items is required: 

   • Food trucks must follow all applicable City and State laws.
   • Do not use trash receptacles or dumpsters at private businesses.
   • Follow all applicable rules and regulations if serving alcohol (additional information is available on the city and state websites).
   • For ADA compliance, leave 36 inches of clear space on sidewalks. No trashcans, coolers, signs, ropes, etc. can be in that space.

   Requests must be made at least ten (10) but no more than thirty (30) days prior to food trucks operating from a public street to allow staff time to notify public safety officials. 

   Locations shall be on a first come, first serve basis. Should a location already be part of a special event permit, it will not be available to the food truck. Street locations adjacent to other businesses shall have approval contingent on any possible events located at that business.
