The South Main Street mill and overlay project will begin Thursday, Oct. 20. It will be from the south City Limits to Central Avenue.
Crews will begin milling from the south City Limits to Locust, then from Locust to Central. It should all be milled by Monday evening or Tuesday morning, then they plan to start paving Tuesday. Weather permitting, the paving should be finished by next Friday.
During the project, traffic will remain open in both directions. We urge drivers to use caution when traveling in the area and to look out for the workers. This is the first of two projects on Main Street. The city received a grant for a second project from Sixth Avenue to McCollum, which will be completed in 2023.
