[ARCHIVED] Click It or Ticket campaign results in 212 vehicle stops

During the Click It or Ticket Campaign, El Dorado Police Department conducted overtime saturation patrols to enforce Kansas occupant restraint, texting, impaired driving, and other traffic laws. During the campaign, officers wrote 81 safety belt citations, 45 speeding citations, 2 texting while driving citations, and 163 other citations and arrests, including 212 vehicle stops during the campaign.

According to Chief Mike Holton, “We are here to enforce all Kansas Traffic Laws and ultimately, to decrease unsafe driving behavior. If you were stopped, we hope you learned from the experience. If so, we have made the roads a little safer for you and those you share the road with.  We will continue to do that because, while the 2024 Click It or Ticket campaign may be over, traffic enforcement never is.”

Buckle up for yourself, your family, your friends.
