Beginning Wednesday, June 11, the westbound lane of the Central Avenue (US-54) bridge will be closed to allow for an emergency repair to a sanitary sewer force main damaged during the June 3rd flood.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be curtailing water releases from El Dorado Lake to provide safer working conditions for crews making the repair.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane, with temporary traffic signals in place to control alternating eastbound and westbound traffic using the eastbound lane.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
