June 2023 - Request for proposal for McDonald Stadium turf project
- McDonald Stadium outfield fence project awarded to Champion Wall Systems and Kansas Fencing
July 2023 - McDonald Stadium turf project awarded to Hellas Construction to replace infield turf
- Central and East park concession/restroom facilities in design process

March 2024 - Final walk-through of East Park concession stand completed

- Installation continues on McDonald Stadium scoreboard
- Work underway on backstops at Mitchell and Red Day Fields
April 2024 - Work continues on backstops at Central Park; Hamblin field will be next
May 2024 - Work is being finished on the concession stands at East Park and Central Ball Fields. Work is completed on all backstops
August 2024 - Planning and price quotes for seating at McDonald Stadium
- Drainage work, installation of irrigation and common area maintenance at East Park
September 2024 - Irrigation repair and common area maintenance at Central Park

Community Impact
The fields at McDonald Stadium and Central and East Park ballfields are used by our recreational leagues, El Dorado High School, Butler Community College and the El Dorado Walnuts, as well as for other special events throughout the year.
